a nice evening. Much nicer than it would have been if Juno and Cat were not
getting along so well.
From outside the door of my room, I can head Eve start to complain the way
she did when I wasn't opening a can of food fast enough for her tastes.
Watching Cat and Juno closely, I headed to the door to let her in. "I don't
mind staying in tonight if you want to do it now?"
Eve forced her way in as soon as the door was opened enough and stopped,
staring at the new arrival. "Be nice." Not that I expected her to listen,
so I picked her up and brought her over to the bed, keeping a tight enough
grip so she couldn't escape, but loose enough so she could reach out her
head and sniff. I have to say, Father, I wasn't thrilled at the low rumble
I felt in her chest.
