Alright, Father, I know I should have called first. Or texted. Or done something to prepare Juno for what was about to happen, but truly it happened so fast. He seemed so alone, even in that crowded cafe, and he'd crept right up to me, settling in against me as if it were the thing that's supposed to happen. So... I decided, quite on impulse, to bring Captain Cat Sparrow home with me. If Juno decides he can't stay, well, I will endeavor to find him a home as comfortable as ours.
I just hope that Eve forgives me, but I think, if Cat is a friendly with Eve as he is with me, it will all work out.
I juggling the carrier and my bookbag, but besides the occasional questioning meow I don't feel I've knocked Cat about too much. Opening the door, I poke my head inside, "Juno? Are you home? I've, um, I've got a surprise for us."
I really hope I haven't mucked this all up.

"So it's a movie thing, then?" That at least narrows it down. And makes for a nice evening. Much nicer than it would have been if Juno and Cat were not getting along so well.
From outside the door of my room, I can head Eve start to complain the way she did when I wasn't opening a can of food fast enough for her tastes. Watching Cat and Juno closely, I headed to the door to let her in. "I don't mind staying in tonight if you want to do it now?"
Eve forced her way in as soon as the door was opened enough and stopped, staring at the new arrival. "Be nice." Not that I expected her to listen, so I picked her up and brought her over to the bed, keeping a tight enough grip so she couldn't escape, but loose enough so she could reach out her head and sniff. I have to say, Father, I wasn't thrilled at the low rumble I felt in her chest.

"Why not? I am completely over songwriting for the night. Maybe it will help even. Change my focus completely and I'll end up coming back to where I need to be." She puts a protective hand around Cat when Eve starts to make that low noise, unimpressed.
"Hey. Be nice." Cat merps and looks up at her with his one eye. "He's new."

Eve sniffs at him with a look of, well, if I had to put a word to it, disdain. She obviously wasn't very impressed, but she wasn't attacking. In fact she gave a startled yelp and escaped from my grasp to run out the door. I do hope she isn't afraid of him. It certainly wasn't the reaction I was expecting.
"Perhaps we can leave him in here for awhile, or you can take him to your room while we watch the movie."

Juno wants to point out that it's his house too now, but resists. It's not Cat's fault that Eve is trying to mark her territory. They're animals and it's what they do. "Sure. Give them time to get used to the smell, or whatever it is."
