Alright, Father, I know I should have called first. Or texted. Or done something to prepare Juno for what was about to happen, but truly it happened so fast. He seemed so alone, even in that crowded cafe, and he'd crept right up to me, settling in against me as if it were the thing that's supposed to happen. So... I decided, quite on impulse, to bring Captain Cat Sparrow home with me. If Juno decides he can't stay, well, I will endeavor to find him a home as comfortable as ours.
I just hope that Eve forgives me, but I think, if Cat is a friendly with Eve as he is with me, it will all work out.
I juggling the carrier and my bookbag, but besides the occasional questioning meow I don't feel I've knocked Cat about too much. Opening the door, I poke my head inside, "Juno? Are you home? I've, um, I've got a surprise for us."
I really hope I haven't mucked this all up.

I believe, Father that Eve has already caught wind of what's happening, as she's come into the living room, tail bristled and circling the carrier. For his part, Cat seems rather at ease for all that he's about to be thrown to some metaphorical wolves.
I do hope Juno likes him. He's just... a little broken. A little different. Like me.
The people at ths shop said a few things about socializing and not being surprised if Eve gets hissy and crazy. I think perhaps this is best dome in my room. "Come to my room actually, I'll need to close the door."

When her friend suggests going to her room, Juno just shrugs, only really noticing the carrier once she's shutting the door behind her. "Okay. I was going to make a joke about this being kinda weird, but... what's in the box?"

Date: 2015-06-30 04:34 pm (UTC)I feel it is perhaps better if I just show her, Father, so I open the carrier on my bed and tap the quilt so he knows it's okay to come out. It takes him a moment, but he cautiously steps onto the bed sniffing and looking around, head cocked at an odd angle to compensate for his missing eye, I suppose. Eventually I sit and he comes right up next to me, rubbing his head against my leg.
"This is Captain Cat Sparrow. I met him at a cafe that had adoptable cats all around and I just... I couldn't leave him there. No one wanted him because of his eye, you see, and... We don't have to keep him, I just didn't want him to not have somewhere to live. Do you... mind? Terribly?"

Date: 2015-06-30 10:29 pm (UTC)The only thing the cat is missing is a peg leg, she thinks, and then it would be a proper pirate. The name amuses her, and she laughs, moving slowly to the edge of the bed and sitting. Captain Sparrow shies away slightly, but soon comes to sniff at the both of them.
"Mind?" How can she mind that Eleanor wants to help so much? Her friend has a good heart, better than anyone else she knows. "No, I don't mind. Just... Can we get him a little eyepatch? Maybe a hat?"

Date: 2015-06-30 10:54 pm (UTC)"I suppose so, but why would we do that?" I've seen picture of cats in costumes on the internet before, but frnakly, Father the idea of it puzzles me. Even with Eve, it is sometimes hard to see cats as anything other than what they were in Rapture and nuisance that was brought in order to take care of the rats. I love the idea of pets, but the tractice of it still eludes me sometimes.

Date: 2015-07-06 06:11 pm (UTC)Obviously this is something that I should probably know. Possibly from some television show or movie that was popular where she was from. I do hate situations like, this, Father, I feel so... lost in them. I know it is to be expected, but at the same time, I feel I've lost out on so much.
"I apologize, Juno, I don't understand the reference." Meanwhile, Cat happily purrs as he snuggles in next to Juno. Somehow, I feel slightly betrayed.

Date: 2015-07-09 11:48 pm (UTC)"Dude. We have some serious catching up to do." The Captain, as Juno is already thinking of him seems to like her, butting his head into her hand when she stops patting him. "This calls for an epic movie night."

Date: 2015-07-12 06:18 pm (UTC)"So it's a movie thing, then?" That at least narrows it down. And makes for a nice evening. Much nicer than it would have been if Juno and Cat were not getting along so well.
From outside the door of my room, I can head Eve start to complain the way she did when I wasn't opening a can of food fast enough for her tastes. Watching Cat and Juno closely, I headed to the door to let her in. "I don't mind staying in tonight if you want to do it now?"
Eve forced her way in as soon as the door was opened enough and stopped, staring at the new arrival. "Be nice." Not that I expected her to listen, so I picked her up and brought her over to the bed, keeping a tight enough grip so she couldn't escape, but loose enough so she could reach out her head and sniff. I have to say, Father, I wasn't thrilled at the low rumble I felt in her chest.

Date: 2015-07-22 06:24 am (UTC)"Why not? I am completely over songwriting for the night. Maybe it will help even. Change my focus completely and I'll end up coming back to where I need to be." She puts a protective hand around Cat when Eve starts to make that low noise, unimpressed.
"Hey. Be nice." Cat merps and looks up at her with his one eye. "He's new."

Date: 2015-07-31 05:01 am (UTC)Eve sniffs at him with a look of, well, if I had to put a word to it, disdain. She obviously wasn't very impressed, but she wasn't attacking. In fact she gave a startled yelp and escaped from my grasp to run out the door. I do hope she isn't afraid of him. It certainly wasn't the reaction I was expecting.
"Perhaps we can leave him in here for awhile, or you can take him to your room while we watch the movie."

Date: 2015-08-03 02:05 am (UTC)Juno wants to point out that it's his house too now, but resists. It's not Cat's fault that Eve is trying to mark her territory. They're animals and it's what they do. "Sure. Give them time to get used to the smell, or whatever it is."
